If you can’t fit everything on your agenda, then there’s always the time between Christmas and New Years. Right after Christmas, you can still see all the popular sights. You can pick up from where you left off and continue on without missing a beat…that’s what I did.
The day after Christmas (or what some will say Boxers Day), seeing the Rockettes was on my agenda. Christmas isn’t the same without them. Everything you know about the holidays is part of the Christmas Spectacular. The show starts out with 3D scene of Santa Claus flying in his sled and continues on with the 12 days of Christmas, the nutcracker, parade of the toy soldiers, ice skating in Central Park and other highlights of NYC. And, what I love about show is that the real meaning of Christmas ends the show with a beautiful live nativity scene. I love that!
Now, I did this and I would suggest it to you. After watching the Rockettes, you should continue walking up 48th street and see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. Then, you need to keep walking up 48th street until you reach the corner of 49th street and 5th ave to check out the window displays and holiday light show. Battling through the crowd of people, I caught Saks 5th ave holiday light show just in the nick of time. It’s short but it’s pretty cool and worth seeing……
Well, this pretty much wraps up the Christmas tour in NYC. There’s so much to see and a lot to experience. I didn’t get a chance to visit every place I wanted but there is always next year. Just to let you in on a little secret….I was a little nervous about bringing the Christmas tour in NYC to you. I didn’t know what to expect. But, I had a blast! And, next year I plan to do a bigger and more grand Christmas series and I want you to experience with me…more on that later! You’ll see why NYC is a great holiday destination. Take care for now. Tell me your thoughts and let’s chat.
Hugs,
P.S. Just to let you in the know….SheTravelSavvy just turned 1 year old!
