Just like Ebola, Zika, and SARS, we have another epidemic, well, in this case, a pandemic on our hands. And, the coronavirus is taking the world by storm impacting everything from the economy, stock market, business, and school closures, canceled social events and definitely the travel industry.
By the way, since it’s been brought up, let’s talk about it. If you are like me, then your travel plans were put on pause. It’s a bummer but it’s not the end of the world. Look, I know traveling is our THING but when the red light is on, then we need to stop and kick plan B into gear. What am I talking about? Well, consider this action plan and put it into play for your future travel ventures.
- Currently, in my area, there are over 10,000 coronavirus cases, so I’m shut-in the house. If you’re in the same boat, then use this extra free time to create a travel visionary board of all the places you want to visit. And, be creative with it. Put it up on the wall so you can see it every day. It’s amazing how the mind makes those visuals into reality. I know, this may sound corny but it really does work.
- Being sheltered in will give you time to do things you always meant to do like joining an online language class or community. Master a foreign language to navigate around some of those countries you want to go to.
- Take that credit! Most airlines and cruise lines are giving full credit for a future trip. No penalties and nothing is lost. Use the full credit to possibly upgrade your next vacation.
- Right now, airline tickets are really cheap. You can book an airline ticket a few months down the road and save some cash.
Well, that’s the plan, try it and let me know how it works for you. And, If you HAVE to travel, then stay safe, take precaution and remain updated on the TSA regulation changes. Take care for now and let me hear your thoughts!
Stay safe and positive,
