Thank you to all the veterans out there, past and present. The gratitude we give cannot even come close to the worth of the sacrifice of giving up your life for our freedom. Our thoughts and prayers also go out to the families and other loved ones of these soldiers. The supreme sacrifice YOU made should also be remembered. It can’t be easy being separated from a loved one and not knowing whether that soldier will come home or not.
Remembering these people shouldn’t only happen on one day because these heroes deserve better. The turmoil that accompanies fighting in a war has consequences that last a lifetime. For most people, they get to see it and hear about it, but actually living it and experiencing it (like these veterans and their families do) is a totally different thing. How many of the non-soldier population would be strong enough for something so grievous or calamitous? These soldiers are tough, and some may seem that they can handle everything on their own, but at the end of the day, they need someone to take care of them as well. They’re defending our freedom which is not something that should be taken lightly.
Remember the soldiers on the front lines of battle….
Remember the mother who sent her only son off to battle….
Remember the father who watched his little girl grow up to fight for her country’s honor….
Remember the children whose birthdays are missed by mom and dad who are fighting in a foreign country…
Remember the veterans from the wars of long ago…..
Remember the veterans of wars being fought now….
Remember the future veterans in training who made the decision to fight for something others can only dream of….
Remember how great this country is because of these people….
Remember the HEROES.
Wherever you are, wherever you may travel, please take a moment to remember these people and say “Thank You” in your own way….not just today, but always. It’s because of these people that we can enjoy certain things in life.
XOXOXOXO,
