SO! Do you have your green on? I sure do! Nails are green, shirt is green…I figure that I have to do my name justice; it IS Gaelic after all! 🙂
Everyone is Irish today, and it’s fun to see the enjoyment and the revelry over such a day. The time-honored tradition of the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York is going to go off no matter what Mother Nature says!
Every year, ever since I was a little girl, my mother always prepared the traditional Irish repast of corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. Yours truly made Irish Soda Bread during my most recent cooking class and I can’t wait to pop it in the oven! I froze it just for today and I’m excited to have a piece! I’m thinking of possibly making Irish Bananas for dessert…what a way to top off an AWESOME meal!
Locally, many of the towns have already been having their parades. It’s nice to see everyone coming together for a day like today. One of my favorite traditions I like to hear about is participation in St. Baldrick’s Day – what a fun time and a good cause!
Do any of you have any time-honored traditions for St. Patrick’s Day? I’d love to hear all about them!
Your “Irish” Gal,
